EA Sports has released a first official communication regarding the release of the next Team Of The Week ( TOTW ).

FIIFA 20: TOTW 27 will not be released – Official Statement
The coronavirus ( COVID-19 ) emergency is forcing EA Sports to make considerations about the current state of TOTW. Two of the most important European Leagues (Serie A and La Liga) have already been suspended during the week and in this sense the Premier League, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 also seem to be moving.
For this week, the Canadian software house has informed the community that the TOTW 27 will still be composed of the players who will stand out for their performances in the games that will be played in the upcoming weekend ( 13 – 15 March ).
“We are continuing to monitor the ongoing worldwide situation, however, we are currently planning to proceed with TOTW 27 based on the fixtures taking place this weekend. We will keep you updated as this situation continues to evolve.”
With the evolution of events, last in chronological order the suspension of the Libertadores Cup, EA Sports will give new releases to reorganize the program of the release of future Team Of The Week.

Furthermore, this emergency will also affect the two main European competitions (UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League) to which events and Dynamic cards (RTTF) are dedicated in the FIFA Ultimate Team mode.
Last consideration to be made is also linked to the FUT Champions Weekend League which every week, based on the results obtained, guarantees TOTW Player Picks. Again EA Sports will be forced to rearrange the prizes for this modality.
