The Swedish Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, via the official twitter profile, has recently published a controversial twitter to ask for information on the use of his name and image in the official FIFA series roster.
Zlatan turned to both FIFA and the FIFPRO association to ask for clarification in this regard. The Malmoe striker stated that he is not a member of FIFAPRO and that he has never allowed FIFA to use his image rights.
In a second tweet he said that someone is making money with his name and image and it’s time to investigate.

Ibrahimovic‘s ego is well known to everyone and probably the former Swedish national striker must not have willingly accepted the contract signed by EA Sports with the former Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham, who according to rumors reported by some British media, the Canadian software house would have paid an amount close to 40 million euro into the English’s current account.
This Tweet is unexpected as the striker in the last 10 years has always played in teams or leagues that had and still have contracts with EA Sports. PSG, MLS and Premier League have had consolidated relationships with Electronic Arts for years and AC Milan just a few months ago signed a multi-year agreement with the Canadian software house.

Who gave FIFA EA Sport permission to use my name and face? FIFPro? I’m not aware to be a member of Fifpro and if I am I was put there without any real knowledge through some weird manouver. And for sure I never allowed FIFA.com or Fifpro to make money using me. Somebody is making profit on my name and face without any agreement all these years. Time to investigate
