After the criticisms against EA Sports a few months ago via social media, Mino Raiola, a powerful agent, returned returned to release heavy words against the Canadian software house.

In an interview with talksport, Mino Raiola stated that EA Sports uses the rights of the players in an inappropriate way. According to the statements made, he argues that the use of names and faces cannot be acquired collectively by signing a contract with FIFPro.

โ€œI think we can, they think we donโ€™t, but I think we can! Because there is a difference in the collective rights they said they bought. They buy collective rights from clubs that say they have it, but they use it on an individual basis and in most countries this is forbidden. We think that they are abusing rights of players, that they are not being bought from clubs and the club doesnโ€™t own them.โ€ Mino Raiola said.

โ€œIf you want to buy a Paul Pogba card or a Zlatan Ibrahmovic card, you have to pay a certain amount but they send you 10 cards and you need to be happy that if in one of those 10 cards is one of the players you wanted.

โ€œSo, there is a betting component, a lottery in that game and this is not what this game should be about.โ€

After months of silence when it was thought that the issue had been definitively resolved with todayโ€™s statements it seems that Mino Raiola and his clients are continuing to work in the shadows to get what they believe is right.

EA Sports could again reply as it has done in the past also through our site by sending us a press release. All that remains is to wait for the issue to evolve. We obviously will not fail to promptly update you on the matter.
