The Question & Answer dedicated to the Volta Football mode, organized on the social network Twitter, with the developers of the new FIFA 21 football simulator has ended a few minutes ago.

Q: HONESLTY, looks and sounds amazing! Is there a gameface / playerface scan option? That would top it of!
A: There’s no ‘gameface’ feature for FIFA 21 but VOLTA allows you to build the best version of yourself with our avatar creation system. We’ve even seen some players create detailed likenesses of some of the biggest names in football.
Q: If there isn’t some sort of style score like in fifa Street Volta online will always just be sweaty players playing boring football

A: We’ve updated our simplified Skill Moves mechanic and the system selects the best move based on a player’s Skill Rating which allows players to easily play their game with their own style. VOLTA FOOTBALL can be a sandbox for you to express yourself creatively.
Q: Can we play with friends vs other friends or is it just divisions?
A: VOLTA Squads supports friends playing together on the same team. Opponents are other players from the community in online Division matches. Our focus was on ensuring all players are earning progression for every match they played.
Q: Can we play with icons in Volta besides Kaka?
A: Yes. We have an exciting line-up of Icons for players to recruit to their squads.
Q: will there be CO-OP involved with Volta?
A: Yes. Our online experience VOLTA SQUADS supports online co-op play with our Squad Up and Drop-In modes.
Q: Why can you only play with up to 3 friends and not 4 when playing 5v5?
A: You can play with 4 friends on the same team. Up to 4 player-controlled outfielders and 1 AI-controlled goalkeeper.
Q: What if I don’t have 4 friends?
A: You can always go into our Drop-In mode and pair up with other VOLTA FOOTBALL community players.
After playing with other community members in Drop-In, you’ll have the option to add recent teammates to your friend’s list.
Q: What will be the highest rating in Volta?
A: The highest Overall an Avatar will be able to achieve is 93. Icons and other unique players can be higher than that.
Q: Can you name your Volta squad team like pro clubs?
A: Yes. Every player can name their own Squad, choose their team Crest, and select Home Turf. When friends team up they will play under the Captain’s team identity.
Q: Has shooting been improved? As a lot of shots from easy angles where missed when there was no one in goal
A: We’ve focused on improving shooting for modes with and without goalkeepers this year. Scoring from range and more difficult angles is now more consistent and satisfying. Additionally, when shooting from close range with no goalkeeper, shots are slightly more assisted.
Q: Are you planning on keeping the “random skills” when holding RT+LT/R2+L2?
A: We’ve changed the controls for Simplified Skill Moves to L1(LB) + Left Stick this year. You’ll still have all the Right Stick Skill Moves available for added depth.
Q: How was the giant goalkeeper bug possible ? Are we sure we won’t have any problem with it again ? Awesome job on the mode though, I absolutely love it !
A: Bugs can happen for all sorts of reasons but we’ve fixed the giant goalkeepers.
Q: Will you be able to use the same Player created in Volta in Pro Clubs?
A: You can import your Avatar’s base appearance into Pro Clubs (or Career Mode). However, VOLTA and Pro Clubs have separate vanity, player progressions, and mechanics that are tailored to each experience.
Q: If I play this game on PS4/XBOX ONE I can carry over all things on to PS5/XBOX SERIES X?
A: Yes. Progress between PS4 and PS5 and Xbox One and XBox Series X consoles is seamless and can be shared between the generations interchangeably. You can’t play both at the same time, though.
