EA Sports, through social media, has announced that Okocha, Voller, Papin, Nakata, Smolarek, Capdevilla and Al-Owairan will be part of the official roster of Heroes that we will find in the popular FIFA 23 Ultimate Team mode.
Celebrate some of football’s most memorable players with FUT Heroes, new items that represent the unforgettable moments that turned them into fan favourites.
HEROES
Last year we brought some of football’s fan-favourites back to the pitch as FUT Heroes. This year we’re adding even more – including Yaya Touré, Park Ji-Sung, Claudio Marchisio, Ricardo Carvalho, and plenty more to be announced soon.
- Heroes will always have full Chemistry when played in their Preferred Position, regardless of the rest of the squad.
- Heroes will count as two increments towards their League Chemistry Threshold, and will count as one increment towards their Country/Region Chemistry Threshold.
- A number 10 with a bag full of tricks. Jay-Jay Okocha is Double Take.
- Sneaking into the penalty box to strike before defenders realise he’s there. Hidetoshi Nakata is Stealth Agent 78.
- Flowing golden hair that powers his super strength. Rudi Völler is The Flying German.
- Using his flight and speed to swoop in on goal. Saeed Al-Owairan is The Emerald Falcon.
- Shifting through dimensions to pass anyone in his way. Włodzimierz Smolarek is Phase Shift.
- Channeling the power of a bull in defence and attack. Capdevila is The Backfield Bull.
