Giovanni Infantino was recently re-elected president of FIFA and for the occasion, he also made statements regarding the development of a football simulator for videogame enthusiasts.
Infantino says FIFA will go head-to-head with EA Sports by launching a rival video game (EA Sports refused cash demands to keep FIFA’s name) “The new FIFA game – the FIFA 25, 26, 27 and so on – will always be the best egame for any girl or boy, we will have news on this very soon.” These are the statements made by Gianni Infantino and reported on social media by the Times journalist Martyn Ziegler. According to these statements, it seems that a new football simulator will soon be announced that will compete with the one developed by EA Sports.
At the moment, no official statement has been released by FIFA and it is not known whether the federation has already concluded agreements with some software houses for the development of a football video game.
In reality, it is not even known if there will be a FIFA 24 or if we will have to wait a few more years to see a new football simulator entirely developed from scratch on the market. The only certainty is that it will not be developed by EA Sports which has already announced that the next football simulator will take the name of EA Sports FC.
All that remains is to wait for an official statement from FIFA or some software house to formalize the development of a new video game.
