With the trailer and Deep Dive released just moments ago, Electronic Arts unveiled the brand-new Open World called The Grounds, which will be featured in the upcoming football simulation title, EA FC 27.
Following the Deep Dives dedicated to the new features coming to Ultimate Team, Gameplay, and Career Mode, today’s presentation focused on the Open World experience. Below is a complete overview of everything new in The Grounds, while we also await further details regarding the official database featuring all the players included in the game’s roster.
A quick look at the trailer, available at the end of this article, together with a detailed reading of the Deep Dive, immediately highlights that EA’s work has been focused on creating an Open World that can be freely explored, where players can interact with other fans of the new football simulation game.
The Grounds is a parallel world divided into different areas, each capable of hosting up to 100 players at the same time. At its center is a terrace surrounded by three distinct districts. Every area has been designed to meet the needs of the community.
Throughout The Grounds, players will find football pitches featuring a variety of game modes, including Live Tournaments, 1v1 matches, No Rules matches, small-sided games, and many other ways to spend hours enjoying the experience with fellow EA FC 27 fans.
Avatars created in The Grounds will have all archetypes unlocked from the very beginning and can be fully customized by developing specific Masteries based on the role players choose to take on. In addition, boosts have been introduced to temporarily increase specific attributes for a limited number of matches.

The Grounds also features several shops where players will be able to customize their avatars with countless clothing items and more. In addition, this mode will allow players to equip up to eight different emotes from those introduced throughout the season.
Over the past few days, the complete list of licensed leagues and cup competitions that will be available at the launch of EA Sports FC 27 has also been officially confirmed.
